After a code audit revealed security vulnerabilities to Ethereum smart contracts, the Constantinople upgrade recently had to be delayed. Since the block height of most hard forks are hard coded, such a delay can be very messy. On Ardor, the hard fork height can be set using the Alias system and can be delayed by simply changing the alias value.
