Everex CEO Alexi Lane Presents Stablecoin Settlements at the Wirecard Innovation Challenge Final Pitch
Everex had recently been selected as one of the finalists for the Wirecard Innovation Challenge 2020 award. Invited to attend the WIC Final Pitch at DLD Conference in Munich, Germany, Everex CEO Alexi Lane had a pleasure to present the stablecoin payment settlements via blockchain for Visa/Mastercard payments that allow instant multicurrency low-cost payment settlements and embedded cashback rewards via merchant affiliate marketing programs. The event gave us a great opportunity to showcase the Everex platform and explain the way our solution works to move payments faster and at low-cost for merchants and their customers.
In our case, stablecoin settlements represent a hybrid payment technology solution that combines processing payment initiation feature from Visa/Mastercard networks and settlement part from Ethereum blockchain. This solution will be available to all issuing banks globally, who are members of Visa and Mastercard. Not only will this be a more efficient payment method for merchants, but it will also be easier for users to adopt and use stablecoin-backed debit and credit cards connected to their blockchain wallets where fiat currencies are automatically converted into stablecoins.
Alexi Lane also highlighted that through the use of the stablecoin-backed card, the platform will be able to offer a 10% cashback program when cardholders shop at Everex’s participating merchants and also earn referral fees in tokens.
