How AppCoins Uses Incentives to Boost Adoption of the Protocol
One of our biggest challenges this year was to increase the added value of the AppCoins Protocol for both developers and users. Part of the added value for developers comes from the AppCoins Protocol having a good user adoption rate. However, users can’t use the AppCoins Protocol without developers integrating it into their apps. So, throughout the year, the AppCoins Team worked on different ways to reward developers and users alike for integrating and using the AppCoins Protocol.
Developers Incentives Program
At first, we focused on the developers front and launched a Developers Incentives Program to reward developers who integrate the AppCoins billing solution in their apps.
The weekly Developers Incentives Program consists of distributing 125,000 APPC proportionally to the number of IAP transactions per game, which means that each developer who participates in the program will automatically earn APPC, thus getting the protocol moving. Evidently, the developer with the most transactions gets the bigger slice of all.
In addition to getting APPC, developers also benefit from an increase in their apps downloads, as apps are distributed to over 200 million users from multiple app stores, including Aptoide, Multilaser, and Cherry Mobile; The Apps within the program are also prioritised on search rankings and in editorial features in the app stores mentioned above.

User Incentives Program
On the user front, we wanted to reward users for their purchase activity. In order to do so, the team worked on a new feature in the AppCoins BDS Wallet that enables users to get a bonus of up to 30% in APPC Credits to spend on in-app-purchases for each purchase they make.
