As of February 1st, we’re requiring everyone using the updated Po.et APIs to move over to the updated infrastructure and new end-points at poetnetwork.net.
Migrating over to the new end-points is very simple:
- You’ll need to swap your “frost.po.et” URL over to “api.poetnetwork.net”
- There are now two sets of API tokens available: one for testing, one for production. The test API tokens are prefixed with “TEST_” so it’s very clear on which one you’re using. You’ll need to use a new, updated token and your old one will be invalid.
- Your API calls should work with just those changes, but if not, please come ask questions in our developer Gitter channel or send us an email.
Claims that were made through the frost.po.et end-points on our testnet will still be anchored to the Bitcoin testnet and accessible, but will not be available through our new infrastructure. We’ve dramatically updated the protocol (old version vs. new version) in a way that isn’t compatible with the updated node.
If you’re needing support for the older protocol, you’ll need to run your own older version of the node. Please reach out if you need help there in getting that up and running.
