David joins the comms team as a copywriter. In this role, he will focus on the internal and external written communication of the IOTA Foundation.
David lives in Winterthur, Switzerland, where he also obtained his Master's degree in Applied Linguistics and specialized in Professional Translation. He founded a language services cooperative, where he works as a language service provider and is working towards increasing efficiency within the language industry using Distributed Ledger Technology. During his studies and his time as a research assistant at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), he also looked into how DLT can be applied in barrier-free communication.
On joining IOTA
During my studies and later as a language service provider, I recognized the enormous impact DLT, particularly IOTA, will have on communication in our everyday life.
I liked IOTA's holistic approach: the ability to exchange data and value without fees makes IOTA's network immensely attractive to the language and communication sector - and distinguishes it from other DLT.
Again and again, I asked myself: How can highly complex technologies be explained in a way everyone understands? From my experience in barrier-free communication, I knew the importance of making information available to as many people as possible - only then can we achieve a truly democratic society.
I am very excited to use my experience to bring IOTA's vision to even more people and companies, with the goal that everyone will become aware of the potential of this exciting technology.
We are very happy to officially announce that David is joining the project. Please join us in giving him a warm welcome!
